CORNWELL
Virginia Annabelle May Cornwell, 81, died of natural causes Friday evening, January 13, 2012, at the home she shared with daughter, Carol Dalton. Virginia was born in Alger, Ohio on August 14, 1930 to Frank and Lottie May, graduated from Alger High School, and married James Cary Cornwell of Cynthiana, Ohio on September 2, 1950.
Virginia is survived by her children: Jacklyn Marie Cornwell, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Carol Sue Dalton, of Plain City, Ohio; James Cary Cornwell II, of Columbus, Ohio; and Tracy Jean Samson, of New Holland, Ohio. Virginia is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lois May of Lewis Center, Ohio, her grandchildren: David Scott and Julie Woodard; Edward Thomas and Marlene Woodard; Anthony James and Jacqueline Woodard; Shanna Nicole and Clinton Eugene Dalton, Jr.; James Cary III, Alisha, and Alexandria Cornwell; Anthony Randall and Cody Samson; and Ryan Nicholas Hauck; and by her great grandchildren: Victoria, Addison, Sierra Faith and Connor James Woodard; Aidan and Ian Woodard; Jordan, Savannah, and Ariyanna Woodard; and Levi Chase Dalton.
She retired from the Bureau of Employment Services, State of Ohio, to live in Hilliard and then moved to New Holland, Ohio until her husband Jim's death March 1, 2007 when she moved to Plain City. She was a faithful long-time member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Grove City.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 with the Funeral Service at 6 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 2525 Gantz Rd., Grove City, OH. Cremation to follow.
She will be missed by her family, and also by Lazarus where she spent much of her free time and Russell Stover, whose dark chocolates she loved.
