Virginia "Maxine" Engler, 90, of Marysville, formerly of Columbus passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Emeritus at Halcyon Village. She was born May 29, 1923 in New Castle, Indiana, daughter of the late William and Mary Lingo Guldice. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Engler Sr. She is survived by her son, Chuck (Beverly Barnes) Bridge of Marysville; brother, Winfred (Shirley) Guldice of Decatur, Indiana; grandchildren, Brenda Bridge of Columbus, Lisa (Bill) Carlin of Xenia and Lori (Jon) Champion of Hickman, Nebraska; great grandchildren, Ella Carlin and twin grandsons, Liam and Aiden Carlin. Visitation will be Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 11:00-12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Hospital of Union County Development Counsel, 500 London Ave. Marysville, Ohio 43040.
