Virginia "Ginger" Louise Wilson, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, in Springfield, Ohio. Born on March 21, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, Ginger lived a vibrant life filled with warmth and love.
Ginger was a graduate of Central High School and later pursued her dental assistant degree, leading to a fulfilling career as a dental technician. Her profession reflected her caring nature, as she dedicated herself to improving the smiles and well-being of those around her.
Known for her sweet demeanor and classy presence, Ginger was not only a dedicated professional but also a devoted member of her community. She was very involved with her church and faith, serving for many years as a cherished member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church. Her passions extended to her hobbies, notably her love for gardening. Ginger's hands were always busy planting and nurturing, and she was an enthusiastic participant in the Ladies Crafting Group and gardening club, where she shared her talents and joy with others.
Family was at the heart of Ginger's life. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Melody) Wilson, Mike (Bev) Wilson, Brett (Sandy) Wilson, her daughters, Rebecca Tipton and Diana Dixon, and a remarkable legacy that includes 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Each of her family members held a special place in her heart, and she was incredibly proud of their accomplishments.
Ginger is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Louch; her mother, Gaynal Katherine Louch; her beloved husband, Earnest "Ernie" Wilson; her son-in-law, Arvel Tipton; her sister, Peachy May; brothers, Jimmy and Bobby. She is also survived by her sister, Gaynal (Paul) Gobel, who will carry forward the memories of their shared experiences.
A viewing to celebrate Ginger’s life will be held on January 13, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
Ginger’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will remember her for her sweetness, classiness, and the unconditional love she so freely gave. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
