Virginia Lee Harper

Virginia L. Harper (Ginny) was born February 3, 1933 and passed away Friday, October 14, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred M. and Francis L. Southard; loving husband, Fred L. Harper; sisters, Joanne F. Ralston (David), Norma J. Cummings (James), brother, Richard Southard; nephew, Michael Cummings and best friend, Lora Dell Dent (Richard).

Virginia is survived by daughter, Jan Hunt (Dan); grandchildren; Joshua Ford (Tiffany), Kari Ford; special nieces, Barbara Capuana, Paula Spinosi and several nieces and nephews.

Also survived by her wonderful extended and supportive family, Linda Wilcox (Paul), Daniel Harper (Linda) and Michael Harper (Judy); grandchildren, Elizabeth Collier (Ryan), Tim Wilcox (Julia), Michael Harper; great-grandchildren and special friend, Erma McLaughlin.

Virginia worked in the banking industry for 20 years. She enjoyed her time with her classmates at Central High School at luncheons and reunions and loved her time reading with the first grade students at Wilder Elementary School and the friends she made at the World Gym where she met Fred.

Friends may call at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd, Columbus, Ohio from 10:00am - 11:00am on Friday, October 21, 2022, with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00am. Interment will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Virginia's honor to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
