Virginia "Ginny" Mitchell

March 3, 1944 — May 3, 2024

Virginia "Ginny" Mitchell, 80, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away May 3, 2024. She was born on March 3, 1944, to her parents Clayton Woods and Juanita "Casto" Woods.

Ginny loved to study the word of God & devoted her early mornings to reading scripture alongside a black cup of coffee. She loved attending church & her weekly Bible Study. Some of her favorite things included playing games, crossword puzzles, a shopping trip that resulted in a new pair of shoes & a bigger purse. Ginny loved family gatherings, visits from her neighbors & spending time with her siblings. Attending family reunions was always a priority on her list. The importance of family was instilled in her kids at an early age. They often spent time working & playing with their cousins, aunts & uncles. Ginny treasured being called Mom & Grandma, but above all, she loved the Lord. She was strong-willed, giving, selfless, and loved to laugh. Her work ethic will be remembered by all who knew her & all five of her kids can attest to the many sacrifices she made on their behalf.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Richard “Dick” Mitchell, Sr., Father, Clayton Woods, Mother, Juanita Woods, Brother, Ron Woods, Brother-in-Law, Jerry Follrod, Daughter, Beth Haller-Horvath, Daughter-in-Law, Darlene Haller.
