SHELTON (Conkle)
Virginia S. Shelton, 86, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2006, at Kobacker House, sourrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Clarence and Sinda (Robinson) Stiltner in Greasy Creek, Ky, Virginia is preceded in death by her first husband, Zena "Zeke" Conkle; brothers, Boardus and Clarence Stiltner, Jr. Survivors include her husband, John W. Shelton; daughter, Kathleen (Tom) Hope; son, Nick (Jill) Conkle; sisters, Catherine Compton and Irene (Bobby) Justice; grandchildren, Eric N., Danielle R., Neil M. Conkle, Nicole M. (Chris) Hanna, Alecia (Don) Fairbanks, Jennifer L. (Greg) Popp, Lisa M. Navaratnam, Thomas J. (Goldie) Hope, Michelle E. (George) Brown; and 14 great-grandchildren. Virginia was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a mission, with her husband John, in San Diego, CA, at the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center in 1977. Virginia loved the Lord, her family, and to garden and grow beautiful flowers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 307 Huber Village Blvd, Westerville, OH, 43081, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery, 8029 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH.
