Vivian C Schoener-Foster

Vivian C Schoener-Foster, formerly known as Vivian C Widger, a lifelong resident of Cortland, New York, passed away on August 13, 2024, at the age of 92, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on August 7, 1932, to Harry and Cecile (Robinson) Widger. She left behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Vivian was a woman of immense grace and kindness, with a heart as vast as the ocean. Her warm personality radiated a light that touched the lives of everyone she encountered, making her beloved by all. A faithful Christian, Vivian's faith guided her through life, and her unwavering spirit inspired others to follow in her footsteps.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Widger, mother, Cecile Widger, sister, Veronica, brother, Lynn, sister, Verna, husband, Roy V Schoener, second husband, Paul Foster. Surviving family includes, son, Malcolm R (Debra) Schoener, daughter, Nancy (Michael) Box, brother, Lew (Betsy) Widger, grandson, Nathan (Sarah) Schoener, grandson, Nicholas (Alyson) Schoener, granddaughter, Briana (Nick) Blosser, granddaughter, Jessica (John) Newell, eight great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild.

In the tapestry of life, Vivian C Schoener-Foster's thread was one of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. May her legacy serve as a guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to have known her, and may her spirit continue to shine bright in the lives of all. 

She will be laid to rest by her late husband Roy and sister in Cortland, New York, at a later date.
