Wallace D. Owen, age 82, passed away January 9, 2013. He was born April 12, 1930 in Slocomb, AL.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Virginia Owen; first wife, Betty Owen; second wife, Vera Owen; eight brothers and two sisters. He is survived by children, Becky (Rob Stanley) Bobo and Michael (Sharon) Owen; grandchildren, Heidi (Jason) Burkey, Matthew (Megan) Bobo, Josh Owen, Jordan Owen and Jonathan Owen; great-grandchildren, Karson Burkey, Griffin Burkey, Hudson Burkey and Madden Bobo; step-children, Bill (Vicki) McKinnon and Bobbi Dean and their children and grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and special friends, Jeff and Bea from Kamp-A-Lott.
Wallace was retired from the U.S Navy where he served during the Korean and Vietnam War. The family would like to thank the staff at Emeritus at Pinnacle and Odyssey Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, 43123. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, January 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
