Walter Robert Smith, 78, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus - OH, following a long illness that he bravely fought.
He was born on February 14, 1942 in Martins Ferry, OH.
He is preceded in death by father, Walter Smith Sr. mother, Irma (Moore) Moone; son, James Smith Jr.; brothers, James Smith, Jan Smith; sister, Linda Thompson; granddaughter, Renee Smith; as well as three great great grandchildren.
He is survived by wife of 51 years Pamela (Blakeman) Smith; daughter Lucille Booth; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and wife, Tommy Smith and wife, and Nicole Smith; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Diane King; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Glen Rest Memorial Gardens - Reynoldsburg, OH at 11:00 am.
