WILLIAMS

Walter L. Williams, 84, of Columbus, was blessed by the Lord to live a long and prosperous life and on Saturday, January 20, 2007, went home to be with the Lord. Born to the late Agnes Williams on October 27, 1922, in Pittsburgh, PA, Walter is preceded in death by his former wife, Eva Williams, of 35 years; daughter, Donna Jean Ellis and brother, William Williams. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Williams; daughters, Joanne Wilmer, Luella (Kirk) Foster, Deborah (Olusegun) Omowale, Sarai Williams; 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; father-in-law, Thurman Wilson. Walter retired from Conrail Railroad Systems after 42 years of service, served as Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, in Hillsboro, OH for 10 years, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. The family would like to thank the caring people at Select Speciality Hospital. Services for Walter will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at the New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2020 Mock Road, Columbus, OH, at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service.
