Warren Waterman

September 27, 1947 — January 1, 2022

Warren Waterman, age 74, lost his battle with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency on January 1, 2022.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, he was raised in Sheridan/Noblesville, IN with his identical twin brother Wayne and sister Wanda by their parents H. Wayne and Eleanor Waterman. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1965. He was drafted and stationed at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX, where he met his future wife, Diana Fincher. After moving to Indiana for a couple of years, they settled in Austin, TX where they lived for 10 years. They were transferred to New Hartford, NY where they lived for 8 years before the final transfer to Columbus, OH, where they have lived ever since. Warren worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T/Lucent for 35 years before retiring and becoming a snowbird to Apache Junction, AZ.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents, H. Wayne and Eleanor and brother Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Diana of Laurelville, OH; daughter Amy (John) Boyer of Grove City, son Kelly (Jill) Waterman also of Grove City; his 5 grandchildren, Kirsten (Josh) McMillan of Gilbert, AZ, Riley and Nathan Boyer, Morgan and Erin Waterman; and great-grandchildren Beckham and Paisley McMillan; sister Wanda (Larry) Croft, niece Myra Croft, and numerous friends from all over.

Warren's sense of humor lives on in his children and grandchildren. He was never without a story. We would sit for hours listening to him talk about crazy things that happened at work, his golf game and of course the yearly trips (20) to the Talladega Motor Speedway. He had a special love for cars, especially 60's muscle cars and Corvettes of all generations. He enjoyed his Coors Light and Margaritas, but his true enjoyment came from his grandkids! He loved attending their sporting events and theatrical performances. He was their biggest cheerleader!

A private service and interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. A celebration of life will take place locally at a future date.

The family would like to thank the Alpha-1 Foundation and the infusion nurses at Mt Carmel East for their support over the years and the care they gave Dad. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alpha-1 Foundation in his name.
