Wayne E. Cook of Westerville, Ohio, died at Friendship Village on January 25, 2006. He was born April 13, 1917 in Highland County near Greenfield, Ohio, the son of Pearl and Lillie Cook. His wife, Irene, whom he married on June 23, 1963, died November 5, 1992. Survivors are a step-son, Robert G. Anderson, of Greenfield, Ohio; a step-daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. James (Mary) DeVore, of New Albany; and a step-grandson, Christian DeVore, of Columbus. Mr. Cook was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ada, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at a later date with final interment in Bridges Cemetery, Leesburg, Ohio, under the direction of Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home.
