Wendell Eugene Meade

Wendell Eugene Meade, 80 years old, a long time resident of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday the 9th of February 2022 in Orlando, Florida.

Wendell was born on December 23, 1941 Ligon, Kentucky to the late Harry and Maudie Meade.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Kelly) Meade, James (Chris) Meade, Candice (Jimmy) Dong, and Michael (Cheryll) Meade; grandchildren, Alexandria Robey, Shannon Robey, Brandy Wiser, Ashton Meade, Aaron Meade, Ryan Meade, Jesse Dong, Paige Speckman, Kearstin Meade and Weston Meade; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Caden, Colin, Taner, Preston, Brayden, Parker, Corbin, Liam and Celine. As well as his Brother Jerry Meade.

Wendell is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lois Meade, Sister Brenda and Brother's Harry and Danny.

Wendell served in his local church as an Elder, and later in life as a fellow pastor. He enjoyed gatherings with family over meals and events. He was fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always asked about them. Wendell loved western movies and books. He also liked to travel and made it a part of his life pursuit. Wendell enjoyed learning about his family and his lineage, of the ones who came before him.

Wendell will be missed, but his spirit and memory will live on in his family. We are at peace knowing that God invited him to rest from his earthly burdens and to come home.
