Wilbert Eugene "Gene" Stark, 68, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at O.S.U. East Hospital. He was born April 9, 1940, in Whipple, Oh., son of the late John and Lucetta Holiday Stark. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Stark; grandson, Christopher Stafford; six brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Tubaugh Stark; son, Charlie Stark; daughters, Lucetta (Norman) Fry, Diana (Thomas) Buhrts and Marsha (Edward) Smith; stepchildren, Kitty (Jack) Eddington, Robert (Pam) Masters, Donald (Dawn) Masters, April (Kenny) Dickenson, James (Jean) Masters and Christopher Greer; brother, Reuben (June) Stark; sisters, Ethel "Dutch" (Byron) Hall, Lydia Hall and Waneeda (Robert) Grosklos; grandchildren raised in the home Amanda, Sherrie, Travis, Leroy and Jimmy Stafford; special grandson, Michael Masters; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nurse Fran Nimoh. Visitation will be Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus and also on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mifflin Township Cemetery.
