DUNNING
William A. Dunning, 90, passed away on April 8, 2010. He was born in Lowellville, Ohio to Reverend William and Grace Dunning. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora (Elliot); sisters, Dorothy Koppel and Lura Farmer; brothers, John and Clarence. Bill leaves behind a step-son, Robert Augenbaugh, of Portland, Oregon; step-grandsons, Elliot and Ryan. He also leaves many loving and devoted nephews and nieces who cared for "Uncle Bill" ever since he became ill several years ago. A graduate of The Ohio State University in mechanical engineering, he served in the Army-Air Corp during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed at Marion Power Shovel, before moving to the Detroit area in 1957. He became the owner of Depco Road Equipment Company. He retired in 1985 and spent the next 15 years traveling all over the world with Nora. Bill moved back to Columbus in 2004. He an extremely kind and generous man loved by all who knew him. He possessed Christian values and virtues and lived his faith daily. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231.
