William H. Ackley

William "Bill" Ackley, age 87, passed away on January 18, 2022. He was born on July 22, 1934 to the late Rufus Lee Ackley and Alice Augenstein Ackley in Caldwell, Ohio, but was raised in Lowell, Ohio.

Bill was also preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Ackley. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pansy Newsome Ackley; daughter, Joyce (Mark) Fullen; grandkids, Danielle (Christopher Ross), William Fullen (Nicole Jackson), Olivia Fullen; great-grandkids, Caleb, Marissa and Warner Ross, Kai Fullen; bonus great-granddaughter, Briana Nicholas; siblings, Marjorie Ackley DeLong, Lloyd (Edith) Ackley, Robert Ackley, Donald (Carol) Ackley; sister-in-law, Nancy Ackley.

Bill built farm silos after high school. He attended barber college and was a barber since 1955. Bill spent two years in the US Army. He was an avid sports fan, all sports, all teams! Bill especially enjoyed watching his grandkids and great-grandkids' sports events. He enjoyed gardening and had a vegetable garden every year. Bill enjoyed playing a good euchre game and bowling.

The visitation will be on Thursday, January 27, 5-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer-NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065. The Funeral Service will begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by procession to Kingwood Memorial Park.
