William Eugene Nahoney

February 17, 1957 — February 28, 2024

William "Bill" Eugene Nahoney, 67, of Columbus, passed away on February 28, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in New York City on February 17, 1957 to the late John Joseph and Mary F. (Ward) Nahoney. He married Ivey J. Jones on May 18, 2012 and she survives.

Along with Bill's wife, other survivors include a son, John (Lilly) Nahoney; stepdaughter, La'Tonya (Leroy) Thornhill; two brothers, John (Cyndi) Nahoney and James (Beth) Nahoney; as well as many other family members and friends.

Bill loved to spend time fishing and cooking for his friends and family. It filled his heart to share the joy of food with everyone around; as well as take the time relaxing with some fishing afterwards. He loved to spend time with his family when he wasn't working or enjoying a cast or two.

Family will receive friends and family from 12noon to 2pm, Friday, March 8, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. A service to honor Bill's life will be held at 2pm, Friday, March 8, 2024, also at the funeral home. The Newcomer family is honored to serve the Nahoney family.
