William R. Coverdale

William "Billy" Reed Coverdale, age 69 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home in his sleep on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, after a long battle with ALS. Billy was born on May 20th, 1952 to the late William Harold Coverdale and Colleen Bean.

Billy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. Billy cherished the time he spent with his family. He was known for his wit and humor. To know him was to love him. He was quite the entertainer. Billy worked for many years as a truck driver and retired from ODW Logistics. Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years, but more than anything enjoyed family gatherings. Christmas was his favorite time of the year, especially the decorating of his house, which resembled a gingerbread house.

Billy is preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Bean and father, William Coverdale.

Billy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Marcum Coverdale; daughters, Angela (George) Holly and Heather Coverdale; sister, Debbie Miller; brothers, Joey Bean, Mark Bean, and Timmy Bean; step-mother, Margaret Coverdale; grandchildren include Michael (Kathleen) Holly, Bradley (Melinda) Gregory, Shawn (Nikita) Gregory, Heather "Baby" Holly. Great-grandchildren include Natalee, Bradlee, Everlee, Shawn, Sebastian, Theodore, and Sophia. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A special mention to best friends Tim Marcum, Lionel Marcum, and John Payne.

Visitation Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 9:30am until the time of Funeral Service at 12:30pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
