William "Bill" Truax, 57, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at St. Ann's. He was born August 27, 1954 in Columbus, son of the late Lawrence and Lillian Hicks Truax Sr. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Truax Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Truax; ex-wife and friend, Vicky Truax; brother, Jerry (Maureen) Truax; sister-in-law, Beverly Truax. Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus. Funeral service will be Friday, January 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd Ste 210 Columbus, OH 43229.
