PALMER
William H. "Bill" Palmer, 89, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Bill was born to Jess and Floy (Bogenrife) Palmer in Mt. Sterling, OH., on October 7, 1920, and was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Martha "Marty" (Davies) Palmer. Survivors include his daughters, Peggy Williams and Roxana (Wade) Siemens; sons, William (Teresa) Palmer and Larry (Jeanette) Palmer; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and many friends. Bill served in the US Army during WWII and received a "Purple Heart". He retired from Suburban Motor Freight. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, with the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 19, 2009, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Wade Siemens will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
