Bill Retired in 1998 and Enjoyed 25 years of traveling, entertaining family and friends, living by the beach, and most importantly playing golf. His favorite golf partner was his lifelong best friend, Jack Inscore. You usually didn't see one without the other. Their friendship was contagious, they were always teasing and picking on each other, but always there for each other in life's ups and downs. Bill was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge and The American Legion, and he made lifelong friends through these organizations.
Bill had an infectious personality. He made friends easily wherever he went, and he was never shy about speaking up about the things he loved. To name a few; The Ohio State Buckeyes football team in which he knew the players stats and the teams' strengths and weaknesses, the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, little league baseball, golf, his children, family, friends, grandchildren Brittany Garcia (Joe Jennings), Brandon Hester, and great grandchildren Quentin, Luka, Merino, Tani, and Kane. He loved to go out to eat with friends and have a few beers. He was always ready to laugh and joke and tease, but he could be serious, kind, and supportive when the moment called for it. Bill also was a proclaimed Christian who openly talked about his salvation.
The caring nature of Bill was reciprocated by his friends and family during his battle with lymphoma. The outpouring of love and support that Bill received amazed and humbled him. He was always talking about others even in his time of need. He will be greatly missed and reflected upon as a true friend, a loved father, and a genuine human being.
