William J. Grimm

William J. Grimm, 53, Dublin, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012. Bill was born on April 28, 1959, in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California and is preceded in death by his father, William R. Thomas; grandmother, Nevah R. Morgan; grandfather, Ralph A. Toland.

Survivors include his wife, Qingxiu (Xiu); daughters, Lily and Winter; mother and step-father, Dr. and Mrs. Donn R. (June) Huf; mother and father-in-law, Yueying Zhong and Jiaxing Yang; sister, Misti Happney; nephew, Jonathan Ocanas; niece, Mariann Happney; uncles, Bob and Carl Toland; many cousins and friends; beloved dog, Brownie and cat, Randy.

Bill graduated from Bexley High School and was a graduate of The Ohio State University. Bill was an intellectual and had an expansive knowledge of many subjects. He was especially proficient with programming and network administration and interested in all new technology. Bill loved the Chinese culture of his wife and was very proud of his two daughters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, 9:00 – 11:00 AM with Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Committal Service at Poplar Forks Cemetery in Gratiot, OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Chase Bank Account #2907022500 for the education of his daughters, Lily Yang and Winter Grimm.
