William "Bud" Jacques, age 91, passed away on July 20, 2021. He was born on March 1, 1930 in Casper, Wyoming to the late Beulah and William Jacques.
Bud was drafter into the US Army in 1953. He served 7 years in the inactive reserves. Bud was honorably discharged in 1963. He was a thorough-bred trainer and owner for 45 years. In 1989 he became the Paddock Judge at Beulah Park Racetrack for 30 years. Bud was also the Paddock Judge at River Downs Racetrack and Belterria Racetrack and the Birmingham Racecourse. He retired in 2014. Bud was a member of the American Legion in West Virginia. He was also a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Roundup, Montana.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61 years, Esther; son, Dennis Jacques; brother-in-law, Don Adolpf; nieces, Cindy Stanley and Sheri Robinson; several grand-nieces and nephews.
