William Clifford McDonald, 88, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, October 30. 2007. Born to the late William and Willie Mae (Stewart) McDonald in Atlanta, GA., Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (Butler) McDonald; brother, John McDonald; sister, Elizabeth McDonald. Survivors include his sons, William E. and Robert C. McDonald; grandchildren, Aliese (Timothy) Fenstemaker and William Derrick McDonald; great-grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Bill worked for the US Postal Department for 28 years and drove a school bus for the Columbus City Schools for 15 years. An accomplished bass musician, Bill played with the "Bill McDonald Trio" throughtout the mid-west. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007, 5-7PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. with the service on Saturday, November 3, 2007, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
