William Truesdell “Willtrue” Miller, 81, of Columbus, Ohio, died May 20, 2024, in Columbus.
Will was born January 23, 1943, in East Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Brush High School and Ohio State, Michigan State, Colorado and George Washington Universities. His studies led to a career as a hospital administrator, in a variety of roles that took him to many states, often working with health systems that served indigenous communities.
An avid collector, Will loved discovering new music and supporting the arts. He played clarinet, bassoon, and base drum, and was the focal point at his high school football games performing Scotch sticks in the drum line. He enjoyed fixing up and refinishing hardwood furniture. His proudest work was the time he spent as primary parent raising his two daughters as a full-time dad, during a time when that was uncommon. Will had a phenomenal sense of humor, and his loss is greatly felt by those who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Molly (Michael) McOsker of Virginia Beach, Va., and Halley Quinn of Columbus; grandson, Quinn Immelt; brother, Ted Miller (Lynn) of Woodstock, Va.; sister, Corll Morrissey of Renton, Wash.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Miller; sister, Marilyn Hess; nephew Ky Morrissey.
