William "Larry" Lawrence Riley, 60, of Harrisburg, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008. Born in West Union, Ohio on January 9, 1948 to William and Elsie Riley. Larry was preceded in death by his father. Larry is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Twila; son, Duane (Carrie) Riley; granddaughters, Paige and Emma; mother, Elsie (Benard) Thatcher; sisters, Shirley (Raymond) McDaniel and Judy Allen; and many nieces, nephews and friends. From the age of 5, Larry was able to perform as both a country and gospel musician for over 50 years. Along with the Riley family, Larry performed with The Crusaders Qt., The Challengers, The Zionheirs, and also had a successful solo career. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, Pastor Michael Buck and Rev. Kenny Shively officiating, followed by visitation from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM at West Union Church of Christ in Christian Union, West Union, Ohio. Interment will follow at West Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Darbydale Church of the Nazarene.
