William J. Robinson

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, to parents Carlton James Robinson and Thelma Ree (Combs) Robinson, of 1032 Bryden Road, Columbus, OH. William with an eight-grade education, left school to work as an auto mechanic. He retired from Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Columbus. In retirement, he continued to learn and build his business as a Real Estate and Property Owner, refurbishing and building several homes as well as his own home.

He is the oldest of eight children. He leaves behind his children; Edwin (Pamela) Robinson, of Blacklick, OH, Sheila (Robinson) McGhee, of Montgomery, AL, Mychaeltodd (Kevin) Robinson-Hokerk, of Sun City, AZ, Angela (Dennis) Norman, of Upper Marlboro, MD, Marc Robinson, of Columbus, OH, and Keith (Sheila) Robinson, of Powell, OH. Grandchildren, Ilyas Abdul-Mum'in, Ayrika Robinson, Corey, and Shawn Robinson, Anthony (Ashley) McGhee, Ashley McGhee, Tabatha, Ashley, Nicolas, and Nicole Norman, Myles (Allison) Robinson, McKinzey Robinson, and Jasmine Robinson, Darius Manning, William Robinson Jr., and Krystal Norman. He was the great grandfather of 12 great grandchildren.

William leaves behind his brothers Donald (Juanita) Robinson of Columbia, MD, Wesley (Betty) Robinson, Bruce Earl (Cynthia) Robinson, James Carlton Robinson, and Anthony Franklin Robinson, all of Columbus, OH; as well as a host of friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Donna Marie (Robinson) Kindrix McKinley, and Dolores Naomi (Robinson) Johnson, brother, Benard Keith Robinson and a son, William Dana Robinson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, 43123, where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
