William R. Sammet, 74, of Orient, passed away April 27, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Sammet; brothers, John, George, Robert and Richard. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Clara Sammet; sister, Shirley (Ronald) Belford; brother, Al (Carol) Sammet and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved working on cars, tractors and collecting tools. He was a generous man to all his friends and family. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00PM Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the funeral home. Dr. William L. Snider will be officiating with interment at Concord Cemetery.
