William Douglas Troup, 79, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 in Westerville, Ohio.
He was born on July 7, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to Foster and Katherine (Kennedy) Troup.
Doug is survived by his partner of 15 years, Rita Shapter; step-daughters, Breanna (Jai) Meekings, Miranda Shapter; granddaughters, Emerson Meekings and Carson Meekings; sister, Connie (Jack) Gilmore; daughter, Laura Frank, son, Daniel Troup; granddaughter, Samantha Adkins; great-grandson, Joshua Adkins, and a host of family and friends.
Doug had a thirst for knowledge, and lifelong interests in computers and trains. He was a handyman who enjoyed planning and working on projects for family, friends and neighbors. Doug loved to share stories with anyone who would listen.
The family invites you to join them on Thursday, December 30, 2021 between 11:00am and 1:00pm to celebrate Doug's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Doug's memory, to St. Ann's Hospital, The American Heart Association or The American Lung Association.
