William Underwood, Sr., 71 years old, resident of Grove City, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, June 25, 2010. Bill "Sonny", enjoyed bowling, fishing, horse racing and spending time with his family. He retired after 30 years of service from the City of Grove City.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, William B. and Minnie (Fast) Underwood, sister, Betty Jones, brothers, Emery, Harry and Carl Rader.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Ella (Bowen) Underwood, loving children: William Jr. (Tammy) and Ricky (Elizabeth) Underwood, Lisa (Alan) Littler and Sherry Underwood, sister, Susie (Lester) Jahn, brothers, Jim (Linda) and Walter (Wanda) Underwood, seven grandchildren: Melissa Roudabush, Christina Littler, Gloria Lewis, Tara Harmon, Joshua, Ricky Jr. and Matthew Underwood and nine great grandchildren: Michael, Madison, and Mason Roudabush, Mykyla Lewis, Dylan, Landon and Ryland Harmon, Damion and Donovan Estepp-Underwood.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28th, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
