William Wade "Shep" Shepard, age 74, of Grove City passed away April 7, 2011 following an extended illness. He was born February 27, 1937 in Oak Hill, Ohio. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 50 years, Juanita Canter Shepard; their daughter, Rhonda Estell, of Hebron and their son, Wade Alan (Linda) Shepard, of Marysville. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Jack (Mandy) Shepard; Samantha Estell and Emily Shepard. His mother, Elizabeth Shepard, and his special aunt, Mildred Artz, preceded him in death.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who put his family above all else. He was a good friend and neighbor. He loved all sports and enjoyed playing and coaching baseball. He loved "the team" aspect of sports. He also enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing. He attended Wellston High School and lived most of his life in Wellston, Lancaster and Grove City. He worked construction, drilled water wells, and worked at Irving Drew Shoe. His passion was raising his children as a "Stay At Home Dad". A private family service was held.
