William Welsh Jr., 78, of Grove City, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 at his home. William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dolly Welsh; twin sister that died shortly after birth, Willa Mae; and sister, Evelyn Sigo. William is survived by loving wife of 56 years, Justine; daughters, Linda (Steven) Gardner, Lori Herron; sons, Billy (Teresa) Welsh, Jerry Welsh, Randy Welsh, Michael Welsh; sister, Betty Roberts; brother, Jackie (Barbara) Welsh; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. William retired from the United States Air force after 22 years of service and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the prior owner of the Outpost Inn of Grove City and was a driver trainer for Lazarus before fully retiring. William loved working and racing horses at Beulah Park, River Downs, and many other places. He also loved cooking. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 793 W. State. Street, Columbus, Ohio 43222. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM. Van Holzer officiating. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
