Willie "Pops" Marcum

Willie Marcum, 84, of Columbus, OH, passed away September 11, 2024. He was born on February 28, 1940 in West Virginia. Willie (“Pops”) is the son of the late Benjamin and Sally Marcum. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Dian), Roger (Susan), Greg, and John. He is also survived by his greatest joys in life, grandson Brandon (Jenny) and granddaughter Brittany (Greg). Willie is preceded in death by his eldest son James. He also helped Barbara Brown raise Dean & Kathy Brown. Willie had many siblings, nieces and nephews, and lots of friends. Willie loved to keep busy. He was always going on a walk or tinkering with something. He loved working with his hands. He enjoyed visiting West Virginia, where he’s from originally. He would regale us with stories from the past and he never knew a stranger. He was a quiet, gentle man who would help you in any way if he could. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The celebration of life is Tuesday, September 17. Visiting hours are 1-3pm, the memorial is at 3pm.
