Willie Odell Parrish, 71 years old, Grove City resident, passed away on Saturday, March 27th, 2010. Willie retired from the US Army after serving 22 years, 101st Airborne Division, Military Police, Special Forces, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was a Martial Arts instructor in Korea and a Boy Scout Leader in Fort Ritchie, Maryland. Willie was a very dedicated, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and a wonderful uncle. Willie was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Parrish, and brother, James Hinson. He is survived by his mother, Louise (Sanders) Lamine, his loving wife of 24 years, Norma (Pendleton) Parrish, sons: Kevin (Chrissy) Spires and David (Brandy) Spires, daughters: Tina (Steve) Lee, Karen (Alan) Berliner, Barbara Lambert, Lisa (Rob) St. Hilaire and Rebecca (James) Patterson, sisters: Mary Connell and Jean McKee, 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
God may he rest in peace! God needed another angel and he sure did get one. We all love you Papaw!
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31st, 2010, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Celebration of Life Service will be immediately following at 3:00 PM,
all at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
