Winifred Jane Fenner, 85, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 in Westerville, Ohio.
She was born on August 8, 1937 in Painesville, Ohio to the late Wendell and Mildred Williams.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John Fenner, Sr.
Winifred is survived by children, Julie Anderson, Geronda (Robert) Fultz, Paul Fenner, John Fenner; grandchildren, Caitlin Anderson, John Fultz, Carmen (Zane) Miller, Trent (Hannah) Fenner, Kelsey Fenner; nieces, Colby Sheldon and Collin Turner of Eugene, Oregon; sister-in-law, Frances Glaze.
Winifred graduated from Linden-McKinley High School in 1955 and Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 1991. She enjoyed gardening and watching baseball and tennis. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking for the family. They especially loved her "one-side burnt, one side perfect" grilled cheese sandwiches. Her friends referred to her as "Saint Wini" or "Wini Wonderful."
Since we were unable to hold a service when John passed away in 2020, the family will welcome guests for an open house in honor of both John and Wini Fenner on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 3-5pm at the Blendon Park Condominiums Clubhouse at 5401 N. Hamilton Rd., Columbus, OH 43230. Please join us for refreshments and to share memories of John and Wini.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Parkinson's Foundation in Winifred's honor.
