Woodrow "Woody" Jr. Stephens, 73, of Columbus, OH passed away June 2, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 26, 1936, in Prestonsburg, KY. Woody worked for White Westinghouse and retired from Vacuform Sign Industries. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to joke and tease, hunt and fish, tend to his vegetable garden and go on vacations in the summer. He was a fan of Ohio State Football and the Cincinnati Reds. Woody gave his life to the Lord on July 23, 2007. He was preceded in death by parents, Marlie and Woodrow Sr. and former wife, Fannie "Tinnie" Stephens. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rebecca "Becky" Stephens; children, Donna and Duwayne (Debbie) Stephens; stepsons, Roger Willison Jr. and Rob Willison; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Murphy and Pauline Coburn; brothers, Thomas (Nancy), Kennith, James (Betty) Stephens of KY and Eugene Stephens of MI; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation Monday, June 7, 2010 from 4-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral Service Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11AM with Pastor Little officiating. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, OH.
