Zelma Corrine Brainard, 76, of Orient, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009. She was born on December 16, 1932 to the late Hugh and Nevada Perry in Lawrence County, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert L. Brainard; and brother, Delbert Perry. Survivors include her daughter, Janette (Gary) Miller; son, Robert (Mary) Brainard; grandchildren, Kelly (Mark) Plavan, Janette (Johnnie) Rister, Annette (Chris) Givens, and Holly (Joe Stage) Brainard; great grandchildren, Ashley, Kennedy, Mary Katherine, Tarra, Robert, McKenzie, Alan-Michael, Kelsey Ann, and Blair; sister, Mary Phyllis Stage; brothers, Lee Roy Perry, and Kenneth Perry; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 2:00PM until time of service at 6:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Dortha Ross officiating.
